Lisa Nolan is a Canadian emerging oil painting artist. Currently residing in Brockville, Ontario, where the changing blue colours of the St Lawrence have inspired her work. Other influences include Schiele, Freud, Hopper, O’Keeffe and Canadian realist painter, Sandra McKenzie.

Pushing established perspectives and angles in portraiture into new expressions, Lisa’s inspiration comes from travel, activities and culture. Lisa is also drawn to painting interesting subjects from her travels from animals to everyday still life.

Samples of Lisa’s work are currently held in private collections in Ontario,the USA and the UK. Lisa has also won awards for her creative writing and had a short story published. She is currently writing a novel as well as painting.
